Mehran’s journey began in Iran where he was born, to Turkey where he spent about a year before migrating to Germany at age 13. Mehran moved to the U.S. in his early twenties, and knew immediately this is where he wanted to live. He visited San Jose State University for his undergraduate program where he obtained a B.S. in Business. He always knew he wanted to be of service to others, so he went on to complete his J.D. at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego. Mehran provided pro bono legal services to San Francisco Justice and Diversity Center in the areas of family law, and eviction defense, where he worked with various organizations to help the underprivileged.
Mehran also provided pro bono legal services to the Legal Aid Society of San Diego and Casa Cornelia while he ran his own law practice. Mehran also operated an e-commerce business for nearly 12 years before, during, and some time after becoming an attorney. He joined the GYL team in 2021, because he saw a group of passionate individuals who were aligned with his core philosophy of caring and giving back. He considers San Diego his final destination in the journey that has span across four countries and three continents.
In his free time, Mehran engages in programs to help the underprivileged, and assisting others who need help. Mehran has been practicing the art of Capoeira, an Afro Brazilian martial art for over ten years. He places great value on family, friends, and the community, loves fast cars, and believes in not taking himself too seriously.
